Request for Proposals – City Attorney/Legal Services
The City of Burkburnett, Texas, is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified attorneys or law firms to provide legal services as City Attorney on a contractual basis.

The City Attorney will provide general legal counsel to the Board of Commissioners, City Manager, City staff, and boards/commissions. Services include attending meetings as requested, drafting/reviewing ordinances and contracts, advising on compliance with state and federal law, and representing the City in specialized legal areas such as personnel, land use, economic development, public finance, and code enforcement.

- Letter of transmittal and qualifications
- References from municipal clients
- Approach and availability
- Conflict of interest disclosure
- Fee proposal
- Work examples

Questions: must be submitted by 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025.
Anticipated Board Action: Tuesday, November 12, 2025.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technicalities in the best interest of the City.
