Dusty D. Burkybile proudly serves as the Assistant City Manager of Operations for the City of Burkburnett, Texas. With more than three decades of combined experience in military service, civil engineering, and municipal operations, Dusty brings a results-driven approach to infrastructure planning, utility management, and public works leadership.
A 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Dusty’s military career spanned aircraft maintenance, tactical operations, and civil engineering. Following his military service, he continued to serve the public through a decade of civil service focused on engineering and infrastructure development.
In his current role, Dusty oversees key operational departments including streets, water distribution, wastewater management, and capital improvement planning. He is leading initiatives to modernize Burkburnett’s water treatment systems, implement preventive maintenance programs, and enhance long-term sustainability through data-driven decision-making and grant-funded improvements.
